I read a couple of good articles over the weekend, and I figured I’d share them with you. I originally had a third, but it didn’t fit with the following so I’ll keep it for next week.
In case you didn’t know, it is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I didn’t know it until I read these articles. I hope you spread the word and share other articles about their experiences. No one should have to go through this, and it is sad that we even need a month to raise awareness. Each day should be a day to spread awareness and prevent this from happening. This isn’t one person’s problem. Let’s stand together and continue to raise awareness until domestic violence is only something to be read about in the history books.
One Night In Hell by The MomHood
Discusses her personal experience with assault and domestic violence. It was a very powerful story.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month from FishofGold
Another tale about domestic violence.

Have you read any really good articles lately that you think others should read? I’d love to read them!

I suggest this one too: http://fishofgold.net/2015/10/05/domestic-violence-awareness-month-3/
Wow. It’s a shame so many people have to go through this. Adding it to my list. Thank you for sharing. I didn’t even know it was Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Exactly! That was my reaction too when I saw the number of posts based on this topic and the number of people who are suffering!
we shouldn’t need a month for that. Every day should be about promoting awareness and ending violence. Thankfully these people escaped and are hopefully living happier lives now.
Yes couldn’t agree more!
Thank You for linking back to me! I find it very heartwarming people like you are listening! 🙂
Thank you for stopping by and for sharing your story! I can’t imagine how that must feel. I wasn’t aware that it was awareness month until I saw yours and another article. Thank you for enlightening me! ((hugs))
Thanks for sharing these. 🙂
I feel you might find following articles amusing:

Cat Chronicles are interesting takes of The Daily Post’s prompts and author lives inside the heads of her cats. There are many hilarious articles on her blog 🙂
Since you yourself write poetry too, here is a poem I read, it’s very beautiful, one of the best I have ever read:

Thank you! Read both!
I have personally witnessed and experienced domestic violence growing up from an abusive and alcoholic father. It is really a shame that people especially women have to go through this type of abuse – either physical, emotional and verbal abuse. I salute women who are able to come out strong despite of this. Still, I hope they are able to find help and get out of these toxic relationships. Thank you for sharing Kristina. 🙂
