I read a couple of good articles over the weekend, and I figured I’d share them with you. I originally had a third, but it didn’t fit with the following so I’ll keep it for next week.
In case you didn’t know, it is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I didn’t know it until I read these articles. I hope you spread the word and share other articles about their experiences. No one should have to go through this, and it is sad that we even need a month to raise awareness. Each day should be a day to spread awareness and prevent this from happening. This isn’t one person’s problem. Let’s stand together and continue to raise awareness until domestic violence is only something to be read about in the history books.
One Night In Hell by The MomHood
Discusses her personal experience with assault and domestic violence. It was a very powerful story.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month from FishofGold
Another tale about domestic violence.

Wow. It’s a shame so many people have to go through this. Adding it to my list. Thank you for sharing. I didn’t even know it was Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Exactly! That was my reaction too when I saw the number of posts based on this topic and the number of people who are suffering!

we shouldn’t need a month for that. Every day should be about promoting awareness and ending violence. Thankfully these people escaped and are hopefully living happier lives now.
